When I sat down and setup my personal development plan last month, I didn’t realize just how much I would have to change my entire lifestyle to make it work.  For instance, I don’t get up usually until about 8am.  When I start my work day at 9 or 10, that doesn’t allow enough time for me to drink my protein/meal replacement shake, go to the gym and workout, get home and shower, and then work at 10.

The real kicker is that I work from home… so it’s not like I’m going to “fire myself for being late”… sorry, it’s not going to happen (haha).  But having a set schedule to stay productive is something that I strive for.

So, how do you develop a program and stick to it?

Well, after my injury and getting sick all during my first 2 weeks of my program was enough to temporarily derail me… It made me realize that I needed to get a big enough motivation to make it happen.

So, after the first week of the CYLAW program – I’ve injured myself.  Kind of funny, actually.

You see, I met with one of the owner’s of the gym just to make sure I had the right form and that I wasn’t risking getting injured when I start to use heavier weights.   Before I knew it, it was about 90 minutes later and I’d done every exercise that’s on my weekly program at least once…  Needless to say, I’d over-exerted my self.

And it wasn’t even obvious at the time.  It was one of those “gee, that was a good workout..” and the next day you can’t move your arm.  It was a pulled tricep…

I was out for about 4 days I think.  Then after going back to the gym last Thursday, I was straining my chest too much along with my arm doing bench presses.  So prevent further injury, I called it quits for the day.

This is the first post for this blog… and boy am I excited.  I’ve already done so much, I’m going to run through a BUNCH of stuff right now to get everyone all caught up.
