Telling her something like she is hot is not going to do it if you want her to stick around, instead try something like, I love your smile, be specific in your compliments, let her know you are paying attention.

OK, perhaps you aren’t they guy that always gets the girl (yet!), nevertheless is you start by treating a women like she is a person with feelings and not simply a prize to win over, you’ll be amazed how this simple concept will raise the amount of attention you get from women. Women want to know that you want her, but she doesn’t want you to crudely come out and say it. Find the right words and use them and before you know it, you will get the girl.
